Kalvary is taking over the world

I know some of you are probably tired of me just putting pictures of Kalvary on here, but I'm sorry I just can't help it. She is too cute. I'll try to post extensively on the goings on at the radio station soon. On to the picture... She is a climbing genius. In this one she pulled the trash can over, turned upside down, just so she could climb on the table. Nothing is safe.

Kalvary's Pen

The main reason for this post is these two pictures. One is of Klavary in a little pen that I made for her. Believe it or not, but she actually sat in there herself and started reading her book. The other one is of Kalvary, flanked by Cole and John (two of our youth group members) like a little princess and her body guards. I think she sat there happily for a half hour. Kalvary never sits anywhere for a half hour.

Saturday Musings

Today was interesting. The Grandparents have been saying for a while that they wanted to keep Kalvary over night, so last night we let them. Not that we did anything interesting since the Station was broadcasting a London football game and Kris went to my sisters baby shower. I figured we might sleep in this morning since we didn't have Kalvary to wake us up, but no, we both woke up at 7, just like normal. I worked on my sermon coming up on the 30th. It is going to be on Fellowship, which is one of the 5 purposes of our church. It is a family Sunday which is the one Sunday of the month when we have all the kids in for the sermon, usually they have children's church. I always do a Jungle Jam, which is a kids radio program that I adapt in to a dramatic reading. Always fun. I also wrote a skit to be used at the end of the sermon, I just need to find some people willing to be in it. It works out good that the topic is fellowship, since our church's Harvest party is on the same day.

Quick radio update.

Still trying to work out a way to get our translator up and running. More details as I get them. Football season is running down, we only have one more game to broadcast, which means that I should be getting ready for basketball season. Sadly the football team is having a rather dismal year, although I think that our coverage has been good. Next Thursday, we are planning a vision and goal setting meeting for the station. I have invited about ten people who have either helped out tremendously before, or who I think will have a lot of good input. Today, the armory (the organization which owns the station) will be having a fundraising concert featuring the Central State university chorus. I hope they get a good turn out. I haven't had a whole lot of success selling tickets.

The Zoo

Randomly today, the Freed family decided to go to the Columbus Zoo. Kalvary had never seen some of the animals so it was quite the experience. She liked the Elephants and the chimpanzees but the animals she seemed to appreciate the most were the fish. Then we headed to Annas Greek restaurant. Good food. I do like hummus. It was a good day of relaxation and not having to think. I finished up the week of instruction for IPS (Institute of Pastoral Studies) on Friday. It was a good week, but now I have to do the work. For the first time in eight years I have homework. That stinks. Oh well, here is a couple of Cool Pictures. The first is Kalvary, tearing into our toilet paper. The next one is Kalvary and I gazing at the elephants and the third one, is Kris and my sister Kara chillin on a fake bed at the zoo. 2 pregnant women worn out.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I thought that I had better put in an update before you thought that I had given up on this form of communication. This week I am crazy busy. I am attending Rosedale Bible College's institute of pastoral Studies in the morning and working at the Radio station during the evening. I hope Kris and Kalvary don't forget what I look like.

Recent news. We just returned from our Churches annual camping trip this past weekend. It was the usual blast although tiring. It was fun watching Kalvary interact with nature. Station wise I have been really working hard on a trucking company with a tower. We would love to rent space from them for our translator. They are actually in the process of evaluating if they even want to have a tower. I figure if they decide they wont, we'll gladly take it off their hands.

Oh and for those of you who don't know, Kris has the nine month flu again. (whoo hoo)

Here are some pictures from this weekend.
